The Shady Marksmen
The Shady Marksmen is a project between myself and Mike McCaughan - Mike is the singer and primary lyricist, and I am on acoustic guitar and backing vocals.
Mike is the man. We linked up together in 2023 just to jam and see where it takes us, and in the first session we had already written rough drafts of three songs. After meeting up and demo-ing out some songs and having a mutual desire to turn them into a project, The Shady Marksmen were formed.
As a project, The Shady Marksmen is intended to be something out of both of our comfort zones. We both love wide varieties of music, but play and perform primarily heavy rock and metal. This is an acoustic project, leaning into a different creative spirit and energy to bring more music from each of us to the world. We released our first EP "For the Cause" on September 2nd, 2024, and fully intend on continuing to write and release more. Mike is the lead singer in Double Planet, who play locally in the Philadelphia area. You can find them here.
